The entire house shows the architect’s love for asymmetry: the position of elements (windows, floors, rooms) and a variety of materials used (wood, painted aluminum, glass, brick and so on). The ground floor offers a variety of environments and living spaces: kitchen, dining room, a meeting place, TV room and study. There’s no basement in the house because of the double garage integrated into the building volume, but there is room tower with a height of 3.7 meters internally. Although this project does not look like a regular house European design is still a good example of contemporary architecture. The house is situated in the small Dutch town in south-eastern province of Overijssel, on the border with Germany. It is set among other houses in the vicinity and have stressed the difference between the sides of the face, defined by brick gray-brown, and the back side, where a private garden.

This house is very isolated and thermally stable because of massive concrete walls, stone floors and balanced fenestration. geothermal water is used to heat the floor and radiators as well as for all domestic use. Electricity use is minimized with a small design and requirements are sourced from the source of hydropower and geothermal. External tufted house rises from the site as a series of steep cedar and concrete walls that will weather according to the vagaries of the elements. Displaced native grass is reinstated on the roof and surrounding grasslands are cut and folded in the Earthworks of peat and rock which opens the way to the entrance and terrace. Some internal walls of concrete raw or painted and the ceiling, doors and other carpentry dominated oiled sawn oak with steel details; rural counterbalanced by a palette of fine painted aircraft.
